One of our new additions in our Spring/Summer 2019 brochure, we caught up with Creative Nature’s founder, Julianne Ponan, to find out more about why she created her range of award-winning free from bars.

What was the reason for starting your business?
I started because I suffer from anaphylaxis which meant I couldn’t eat anything that contained any nuts, chickpeas, lentils, sesame and many more. Food on the go was super difficult for me which is why I created my own range of delicious snack bars that are free from many of the major allergens. 

What makes your range different?
What differentiates us to other Free From brands on the market is that our entire range caters for the Top 14 Most Recognised Allergens.  Our new strapline “Delicious without Doubt” expresses that our bars are not only Free From the Top 14 Allergens but we have also won multiple Great Taste Awards, proving that our products are super tasty and full of flavour

What tips do you have for ways to enjoy Creative Nature bars?
Our products are super versatile, our bars are great for a grab and go snack but our customers also love using them as porridge or ice cream toppings!

What does a ‘normal’ day look like for you?
I like starting the day with a bit of exercise, so a Zumba class is great to get my brain going! 
My day varies so much, for example one day I can be doing an interview on sky news at 7am and then exhibiting at a show to pitching our amazing products!

Where is your favourite place to take some time out?
I love taking time out with our team mascot ‘Gizmo’ (our dog) and my other half in the park, a great way to clear my head and get some fresh air.

What food trends do you think we are going to see over the next 12 months?
There is definitely an increase in people who are suffering from allergies and this is growing in children too. Also the focus on eating a healthier product but at the same time not compromising on taste.

If you had to eat just one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
As I suffer from so many allergies, it would have to be our snack bars!
