Christmas from Curd & Cure – our 2021 top picks

Our Christmas Brochure is out now and this year we are all excited for big celebrations with family and friends and are expecting there to be a continued desire and support for quality, innovative speciality and British products within our industry.

This is our biggest and best Christmas range yet, bringing together some of the top artisanal and on trend products in the market. This includes more cheeses, British charcuterie and other speciality foods than ever before, that are perfect for entertaining, treating yourself or for gifting and creating hampers.

We’ve picked out some of our top picks for Christmas 2021 to give just a glimpse of the fantastic festive products we’ve selected specially for you this year:

The Fresh Fish Shop – Delicious marinated anchovies, seafood salad, squid, octopus and sardines along with smoked salmon and smoked mackerel pâté, chalk stream trout and mixed fish platters, all top quality, responsibly sourced and sustainably packaged. A brilliant way to offer an extensive selection of top quality fish products.

Snowdonia Cheese Company – Introducing the newest addition to their range of waxed truckles, Rock Star. Their first ever cave-aged vintage Cheddar, this cheese is matured in slate caverns in the heart of Snowdonia, with a distinctly rich flavour. Don’t forget to check out Snowdonia’s full range of truckles, as well as our ranges from Cheshire Cheese Co, Wensleydale who also produce festively fun shaped waxed cheeses and Gigha Fruit’s flavoured & infused fruit shaped cheeses.

Cheeseboard Packs – Our very own Curd & Cure pre-packed cheese selections now launching for retail. The perfect solution for those looking to offer a pre-portioned cheeseboard in a choice of 3 combinations each in 5 x 100g portions – Best of British (pictured below, left), featuring Wookey Hole Cheddar, Colston Bassett Stilton, Somerset Brie, Dorset Red & Tiddly Blue; Continental with Manchego, Dolcelatte, Brie de Meaux, Goat Log & Comte; and Home Counties (pictured below, right) which includes Winterdale Shaw, Kentish Blue, Sussex Brie, Sister Sarah & Scrumpy Sussex.

Button Mill Baking Brie – Matured perfectly for baking and presented in a reusable ceramic ramekin, simply pop in the oven until it is hot all the way through. A great alternative to a cheeseboard, this wonderfully moreish baking cheese is sure to provide the ultimate centrepiece for a festive feast.

South Downs Brandy Butter – From Sussex-based Bookham & Harrison, produced using traditionally churned cream with just the right amount of brandy, ensuring a great balance of taste. Winner of “Best Flavoured Butter” at the Nantwich International Cheese Awards, this really is a must-have accompaniment for Christmas pudding, mince pies and more!

Nauta Pâté – Offering a wide variety of top quality, traditionally produced pâtés, our favourite for this year are the pâtés presented in a champagne bottle shape, available in 225g for retail or 2kg for the deli counter. We’re also delighted to have introduced their kilners to this year’s range, along with a little extra fun in the form of 2kg Pork & Cranberry in a Santa shape.

Dingley Dell – Recently crowned “Industry Champion” at the British Charcuterie Awards, Dingley Dell are third generation family farmers who put animal welfare at the forefront. With their unique Red Duroc breeding programme, they produce meat with higher marbling, with their charcuterie undergoing extensive taste trials. We have chosen 6 delicious products including Lomo, Prosciutto, Salamis and Chorizo.

Grate Britain Crackers – Presented in easy to display stand up pouches, these real cheese crackers each feature finely grated or crumbled real cheese to give a full & rich flavour. Available in Cheddar, Stilton and Smoked Cheese along with a gluten free Cheddar cracker too.

Vegan Cheeses – Following on from their successful launch with Curd & Cure earlier this year, I am nut OK’s range of vegan cheeses offer an excellent alternative for those looking for a plant based cheese, butter or pâté option, with their hamper providing a luxurious gift option featuring “faux gras” and 5 of their delicious “cheezes”. Also joining our vegan cheese offering are Palace Culture, whose range includes Sacre Bleu, a blue cheese style fermented cashew semi-soft cheese and Mouldy Goaty, meaning that we’ve got all you need to create a fully dairy free cheese board for all to enjoy.

Wooden Spoon – Fruits preserved in a variety of spirits and liqueurs, great for serving alongside the cheeseboard, cold cuts or even in Christmas cocktails, choose from an extensive range which includes Cherries in Kirsch, Figs with Cognac, Peaches with Brandy and baby Pears with Calvados and many more!

Fen Farm Dairy – New to the market, this Icelandic style yoghurt is handmade and available a natural yoghurt as well as with Blackcurrant, Gooseberry & Elderflower and Redcurrant, Rhubarb & Vanilla. We are also delighted to be stocking their raw cultured Mascarpone, made using the fresh, warm cream of their free range Montbelliarde cows.

High Grove – Last but most certainly not least, we’ve picked out all the essentials to add the finishing touches to Christmas dinner! Goose fat & duck fat for the perfectly crisp & flavour packed roast potatoes, whole chestnuts & chestnut stuffing mix for the turkey, bread sauce to accompany and ham glaze for the Boxing Day ham.
