Curd & Cure top picks for Spring & Summer 2019

Our Spring/Summer 2019 brochure is out now and alongside some of our best sellers, we’ve added some exciting new products for retail, deli and foodservice. Amazing food & drink is our passion and so we are always on the look out for new products which taste great and have a brilliant shelf presence whilst uncovering smaller brands who may not have their own route to market.  You’ll find lots of ideas & inspiration in our new brochure, from summer drinks to delicious snacks & sweet treats, plus everything in between, all of which have been specially selected to complement one another and offer your customers a wide selection of artisan food & drink to choose from and for you to cook with.

We’re confident that you’ll love all of our new products and we’ve picked out a few of our favourites which we feel are must-haves for the coming season…

La Tua Pasta
Starting life as a small family-run London business, which has now grown to have its own team of chefs, all of La Tua’s pasta is still made by hand, to the most traditional Italian recipes.  The fillings are also all made from scratch, with each & every piece of Tortelloni rolled by hand.  We love the ethos behind La Tua Pasta, which means ‘Your pasta’ in Italian, reflecting their commitment to producing fresh, delicious pasta that everyone will enjoy.  We’ve chosen 5 pastas which are available in retail ready packs – perfect in the chiller alongside our Deli Tubs pesto – as well as an extensive range available in 3kg catering packs for foodservice; giving an authentic and great tasting fresh pasta, without the need to make in-house. Olive Branch Olive Oil
Joining our range of Kentish Rapeseed Oils, we wanted to find an Olive Oil which delivers on taste whilst having provenance.  Olive Branch’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil is grown & made on the farm, which is on the island of Crete – giving an instant point of difference to the many Italian olive oils available.  By using traditional methods, the oil produced is extremely fresh & fruity and we’ve found it delicious drizzled over salads as well as for making fresh pestos and home-made dressings.  Available in a range of sizes in glass bottles, make sure you check out their delicious range of Tapenades too! Creative Nature
With the free from market set to continue its rapid growth, Creative Nature’s range of snack bars are the perfect fit; gluten, dairy, wheat & peanut free as well as being free from the top 14 allergens.  We love that they come in a shelf ready display box, simply fold the top in & you’re ready to go and even better, throughout April 2019 buy 1 box and receive the second half price.  We’d suggest placing these by the till as an impulse buy or adding in to your free from section, something consumers are actively seeking out & expecting to see. Great British Biscotti
We’re all partial to a good cup of tea here at Curd & Cure, and couldn’t resist adding Great British Biscotti to our offering!  The sweet biscotti are a perfect accompaniment when it’s time for a tea break, and we’ve particularly enjoyed dunking the Sour Cherry & Double Chocolate. For those who don’t have such a sweet tooth, the savoury biscotti croutons are a great addition to salad or soup and we’ve been playing with cheese pairings; try the Wild Garlic & Rosemary with a mild goats cheese such as Sister Sarah, or the Red Onion Marmalade & Walnut with a strong cheddar style cheese; Ashmore Farmhouse or Winterdale Shaw would work well. Karma Cola
We’re not just about good food, and have added some great new drinks to the range too.  With businesses who give something back in high demand, we were thrilled to find Karma Cola, who are behind the Karma Foundation, working with people growing cola in Sierra Leone to make sure they receive a more than fair price and supporting projects to develop local infrastructure & education. Karma Cola not only does good, but uses the best ingredients to create a range of drinks which are full of flavour and look great whether on shelf or served at the table with a glass of ice. (Page 32 & 106)

If you would like to receive a hard copy of our Spring/Summer 2019 brochure, please do let us know, or alternatively you can view the full brochure online here.  We’re already working hard on our Autumn/Winter and Christmas brochures, which will be out later this year.  We’d love to know if there are any products you would like us to list and don’t forget, if you can’t see what you’re looking for in the brochure, especially when it comes to cheeses, we can usually source this for you.
